The “Great One” is not only one of the most talented divers you’ll ever meet but also the most modest about his own talents for good reason.
He lives on the West Coast of Florida and has always been a solid performer in all the tournaments there taking the State Championships, ST. Pete Open, and some other illustrious titles such as the World Record Spadefish and Sheepshead.
He will out dive you on Scuba to more than 200 feet and has shot more 100+lb Black Groupers (aka Carbos) than most people I know. He stones most of his fish (or so he will tell you) and can freedive with the best of them taking top places in even the national titles.
He remembers every weight of every fish you’ve ever shot and will remind you that his were bigger and for good reason. He is a better diver than you.
Nicknames can me mean and flattering at the same time, I personally am most often referred to as “Team Cameron”, Cam, BlackWidow, Diva, Tevoro vula vula(white devil in Fijian), Beast Master… etc etc.
To be called the Great One however is something else entirely and he deserves it. This video highlights the life and times of the Great One and while you may laugh at it remember that he is the best guy you can ever have on the boat because he cleans the fish, boat, gear, and your favorite fishing hole faster and better than anyone you have ever met. We should all be proud to know him.
I share this with the greatest respect for my friend and with his permission, if you take yourself too seriously you won’t enjoy one of the best parts of spearfishing, making fun of your friends at their expense.

i have never saw anything less than a head shot on all the trips I’ve shared with him.
his ego withstanding, Zacker is one of the best spearfishermen around.
but i would never, ever tell him that.
I can’t knock RZ for the photo ops as I don’t think anyone in the world wastes other peoples time more than I do taking dead fish pictures. Zacker is an abnormally amazing human project of a guy
