This weekend in Fort Lauderdale is the annual Blue Wild Expo in Fort Lauderdale Florida. In years past it has drawn a good crowd of divers from around the world who have come together to talk story, check out the newest gear from the best dive companies in the world, and party like they didn’t have to dive for another week.
If you are in South Florida and haven’t been before it is worth a look.
Organizer Sheri Daye has gone out of her way to put it together and the list of guest speakers is always impressive.
For those of us who can’t go… I’ve been trying to think of a way to get us involved so we can feel closer to the action and I’ve contracted Brandon Wahlers, who has a history at the Blue Wild of raising hell who will fearlessly talk to anyone, to interview and be our reporter on the inside.
I have compiled a list of questions for him to ask everyone while there and I will post the interviews here as well as some of the results.
As it is, I have no idea what will come out of this and knowing that when Brandon is cut loose on the general public anything can happen, there is no telling what we will get out of this weekend or whether it will be suitable to post on Spearblog.com
If you could ask the top 10 spearfisherman in the world anything, what would you ask them? Over the next few days I want you to post your questions here and, with some filter of course, we will set Brandon loose on Fort Lauderdale.
There will be past and present World Champions, National Champions, Shark bite survivors, tree huggers, shark huggers, the deepest freediving and scuba divers, Girls that have no idea how they were convinced to come to a “spearfishing” event and now feel like they have been thrown into a shark tank, Spearfishing TV Stars, and everyone else in between so this is your chance to ask them anything.
Knowing Brandon, he will deliver the goods and it will be worth a laugh in the end. He has already threatened to pose as Cameron Kirkconnell so I can only imagine the fun he will poke at me as this all goes on.

Possibly the best and only question to ask Manny Puig. I can imagine the answer will be met with a blank stare but we can only dream that something incredible comes out of it.
