This is the kind of days that you hate to miss and surprisingly on this day I had no less than 5 people bail on me at the last minute. In the end, Steve Bennet and Nolan Sadorf stepped up and we muscled our way more than 100 miles through 4-6 ft seas to find the sky full of tunas and flying fish signaling that it was definitely on and the spot would be holding.
In the end it was all worth it and using the new camera got some great shots of the guys shooting African Pompano, Cobia, and the swirling mass of hundreds of Amberjacks.

Amazing day, these are the ones we wish for

That new camera set up youre using looks pretty good. Especially since it was overcast all day with less than ideal blue water.

  2. Beautiful fish!, amazing to dive surrounded by all those big fish, here in continental Europe any of those fish would be a personal record for most spearos … Spearfishing here is a different game… Less and smaller fish…
Great blog by the way, keep feeding us with daily updates!

  3. hey man, nice fish..
however that is not an African pompano, its an Indian mirror fish.. the pompano is allot more rounded and has a pronounced black coloring above its lateral line.
nice blog! keep up the good work!
