Mark Healey Huge Cloudbreak Surf
All I can say is… damn. This is some of the most incredible surf I’ve seen at Cloudbreak and may be one of the heaviest paddle sessions there.
Team Riffe diver and global waterman Mark Healey was on the swell today in Tavarua and as you can see by the look on his and Kelly Slater’s face, it was probably one of the best waves of his life. Unreal.
Having the cojones to put yourself in the right spot in the lineup on a wave like this is the same calculated genius that allows him to dive deeper than most mortals would ever attempt. My goal this month is to get in shape so that I can follow him to the depths next month and film him on our quest in Fiji for World Record Dogtooth Tuna and other pelagics… I think I have a long way to go before I’m following him to 160′ and paddling in to waves like this.
